METSO PAPER MECHANICAL PULPING AWARD

RULES

§ 1
The purpose of this award is to stimulate greater interest among students and research workers in mechanical pulping (groundwood and thermomechanical pulp) recycled fibre and stock preparation technology and their practical applications.

§ 2 
The award is intended as recognition of academic studies of particular merit in the field concerned.

§ 3 
The amount of the award, which is awarded annually at Paper Engineers’ Association’s Autumn Meeting, shall be 2000 euros. The amount may be divided among two or more recipients.

§ 4 
The recipient(s) shall be decided by the PI and the preliminary choise is made by representatives from Metso Paper Oy.

§ 5 
In the choice of subject, attention shall be given to the subject area itself, the way it is treated, the grade awarded and the general applicability of the findings in accordance with § 1 and § 2 above.
